Charlton Morris Achieve SILVER Investors in People Status

Building on a successful year including being named the 2nd Most Socially Engaged Staffing Company in EMEA and the 16th Best Small Company to Work For in the UK; we now have another accreditation to add to the list.

Earlier this year, we underwent evaluation for Investors in People status and after a rigorous process of survey, interviews and assessment we’re delighted to announce that Charlton Morris achieved Silver status on our first attempt.

In their own words, Investors in People:

“Help organisations understand and improve the way they manage their people. Agents for positive change, support leaders to create high-performance cultures with smart objectives, making work a more rewarding experience for everyone.”

IIP assessors take a forensic look at your business in order to understand it as thoroughly as possible. This includes evaluating a range of variables including its processes, values and leadership.

The assessment criteria, called ‘The Standard’ is divided into nine separate sections and Charlton Morris scored particularly high in the ‘Building Capability’ and ‘Leading and Inspiring People’ sections of The Standard.

The accreditation, which lasts until 2021, is a recognition of the hard work we have put into the business over the last few years to make Charlton Morris a great place to work and to prove that we are a well-run, efficient, modern business.

The assessment also included a range of suggestions and opportunities for us to improve which are invaluable. We’re really looking forward to taking a look internally and implementing some of these recommendations, with an eye on ‘Gold’ status in future.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our assessor, Karen Milner, who was really helpful and supportive throughout the process, and who I hope enjoyed her time in the office with us. We’ll be looking forward to welcoming Karen back to our Leeds HQ for our annual reviews.

Charlton Morris are committed to consistent and continued improvement and this accreditation is the latest evidence of that. It’s also the perfect way to cap off our fifth year in business, which ends in September.

Year six is expected to be our most exciting yet – watch this space for some more exciting announcements!

Lastly, a huge congratulations to all of our team internally for achieving this status. I’m proud to lead a company recognised by such a well-regarded organisation.
